On Monday before the New York Yankees played against the Royals, Yankees 3rd Baseman Alex Rodriguez accepted MLB.com’s Hitter of the Year Award. More than 9 million people voted in the 6th annual MLB.com This Year In Baseball Awards and recognized A-Rod for what he had done in the 2007 season. Rodriguez ended the 2007 season with a .314 BA with 54 Home Runs and 156 RBIs. His success has continued into the 2008 season batting .313 with 9 Home Runs and 29 RBIs. Rodriguez missed 17 games due to a grade 2 strain to the right quadricep.
Interesting! I’ve never heard of this award. I’m glad you could inform me about this.
